Part of Oetker Collection's portfolio of Masterpiece Hotels, Palácio Tangará sits inside São Paulo's Burle Marx Park, one of the last fragments of Atlantic rainforest remaining in the metropolitan area. The 141-room property earned a Star Wine List award in 2026 and a La Liste score of 92.5 points, with dining signed by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten including a Michelin-starred restaurant. It occupies a distinct position in São Paulo's luxury hotel market: European hospitality architecture, Brazilian materials, forest setting.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Santa Teresa Hotel RJ - MGallery Hotel Collection

A reclaimed 18th-century coffee plantation turned 44-room boutique hotel, the Santa Teresa MGallery sits above Rio's beach corridor in the bohemian hill district that most visitors never reach. Interiors draw on Brazilian hardwoods, recycled jacaranda and ipê, and indigenous design alongside works by modernist Sergio Rodrigues. The Térèze restaurant, pool lounge, and Le Spa give the property a self-contained character that pairs well with the neighbourhood's colonial streets and artist workshops.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Botanique Hotel & Spa hotel in Campos do Jordão

Campos do Jordão, Brazil

Botanique Hotel & Spa

Botanique Hotel & Spa holds a Michelin One Key distinction in Campos do Jordão, Brazil's alpine resort town in the Serra da Mantiqueira. The property occupies the Bairro dos Mellos district and positions itself within a small cohort of design-led mountain retreats that have drawn serious Michelin scrutiny to a region most international travelers still associate primarily with European-style architecture and weekend escapes from São Paulo.

Campos do Jordão, Brazil
Pulso Hotel Faria Lima hotel in São Paulo

São Paulo, Brazil

Pulso Hotel Faria Lima

Pulso Hotel Faria Lima occupies 57 rooms in Pinheiros, designed by architect Arthur Casas around an upcycled material aesthetic that runs continuously from spa to dining to guest floor. The property operates at a scale where design coherence is structurally maintainable, placing it in São Paulo's smaller, architecture-led luxury tier rather than with the city's large international flagships. Terrace rooms extend that contrast between interior restraint and the São Paulo skyline outside.
