Corcho is a Mediterranean wine bar there with an extensive global wine selection and a Star Wine List. 1739 is a French bistro in the same neighborhood, with an 1800-bottle cellar and a sommelier-led list. The only Wine Spectator Award of Excellence is at Lazotea in Casco Viejo. Casco Viejo holds 16 venues in our guide, the largest neighborhood count. Several tasting menus in our guide follow modern Panamanian cooking. Maito in Coco del Mar blends Afro-Caribbean, Asian, and indigenous influences and keeps an organic garden. La Tapa Del Coco in San Francisco cooks Afro-Panamanian food. Riesen in El Cangrejo uses fermentation and wood-fire on a tasting menu. Obarrio adds Makoto’s omakase, while San Francisco also brings Intimo’s chef’s table and tasting-menu format into the mix.

Pizza Verace restaurant in Panama City

Panama City, Panama

Pizza Verace

We are in City, at this restaurant founded by Marco Carlesso and Leonardo Carrero. The dominant feature in this restaurant is the Neapolitan tradition, with a slightly pronounced crust, soft and melt-in-your-mouth dough. Passion is the driving force behind this small and well-kept pizzeria. Passion for Naples and Italy, which leads to respecting tradition and high-quality ingredients. For dessert, don't miss the tiramisu. There is also a small selection of sandwiches, and the drink menu is essential. Joy and conviviality in a pizzeria that we could define as a neighborhood one, as they say in Naples, only we are in Panama City.
