Colombia luxury dining and travel destination
Colombia's EPC guide covers 230 venues across 24 cities, and Bogotá accounts for 80 EPC venues in our guide. That concentration shapes the country page: the capital carries the deepest run of tasting menus, wine programs, and bars where the cellar is part of the draw. Cartagena adds a second centre of gravity, with walled-city restaurants and cocktail rooms that pair coastal dining with serious lists. Medellín and Cali extend the picture with modern Colombian kitchens and regional cooking that stay close to their own neighbourhoods. Across the country, the scene is organised by city and by district, with Granada, Getsemani, El Poblado, Provenza, Centro Histórico and other areas defining where the most relevant tables and bars cluster. Wine Spectator recognition appears in Cartagena, while hotel dining and cocktail programmes help round out the guide.

We are in the El Peñón neighborhood in Cali, for this restaurant that was founded by two Italians, who wanted to bring the traditions of the Bel Paese to Colombia. The restaurant is well-kept, with a beautiful oven that dominates the scene. The dough is the long leavening type, with a slightly pronounced crust. Informal and friendly atmosphere in this restaurant, while in the menu, in addition to pizzas, you will find appetizers, pastas and of course the dessert section. Among the pizzas to try is the Salamino with tomato sauce, fior di latte and Spanish chorizo, while among the specials is the Bellissima with mascarpone, tomato, fior di latte, crispy guanciale, burrata, balsamic reduction and spicy oil, a complex mix of flavors that blend well together. Among the pastas, the fettuccine alla bolognese, with a light and delicate ragu, is a true surprise. Good selection of drinks with a small list of Italian wines and a nice selection of cocktails. Plus points for a menu dedicated entirely to children. A priority stop if you are craving excellent pizza in Cali.
