Range and ageing
Royale Réserve uses reserve wines, some maintained in wood in the house's perpetual-reserve system. Clos des Goisses comes from a steep, south-facing single vineyard nearby. Philipponnat gives at least six years on lees for its vintage wines; that duration should not be applied to every bottle in the range.
