Burgundy's Groundbreaking Wine and Music Festival Makes Its U.S. Debut. The acclaimed Burgundy-born cultural event crosses the Atlantic for the first time, bringing world-class winemakers, live hip hop, and nine extraordinary dinners to Los Angeles.
What is Vin et Hip Hop (Wine and Hip Hop) Los Angeles?
Born in 2022 at the Château du Clos de Vougeot, the spiritual heart of Burgundy's Cistercian wine tradition, the event has rapidly become one of the most talked-about gatherings in the wine world, selling out within minutes at historic venues across France. Now, from March 17–19, 2026, its creators are bringing the concept to Los Angeles with a city-wide series of nine winemaker dinners and a VIP concert event, convening over 20 winemakers from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne, Abruzzo, and California at some of LA's most celebrated restaurants.
This is not a traditional wine event. There are no stuffy seminars or formal tastings here. Vin et Hip Hop is built on the premise that wine and hip hop share deep common ground: both are rooted in craft, self-expression, a respect for origins, and a spirit of counterculture. The Los Angeles edition expands the format into something altogether more ambitious than its Burgundy origins, pairing legendary French estates with iconic California and Italian producers at tables set by some of the city's finest chefs. A dinner might pair Domaine des Comtes Lafon with Château Lafite Rothschild and Champagne Krug. Another seats Emidio Pepe alongside Harlan Estate. Fashion designer Rhuigi Villaseñor of RHUDE co-hosts an evening of Burgundy poured from jéroboams with a live DJ set. The culminating night brings live hip hop performances at Verse, the acoustically engineered supper club owned by 17-time Grammy-winning mixing engineer Manny Marroquin.
The event is produced by Hautes Côtes, the Burgundy-based event agency co-founded by Milena Berman and Loïc Lamy, alongside co-creator Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac. Jermaine Stone, the Bronx-born sommelier and creator of the Wine & Hip Hop platform, serves as MC and collaborator. Together with Marroquin and his son Matias Marroquin, sommelier at Verse, they have assembled a program that feels unmistakably Los Angeles: creative, diverse, boundary-breaking, and very, very well-curated.
A percentage of all event revenues will go to The Roots Fund, Vin et Hip Hop's official charity partner, which empowers underrepresented communities within the wine and spirits industry through financial support, education, mentorship, and career development.

Racines × Château de la Tour × Snowden Vineyards (LAST TICKETS)
Tuesday, March 17, 2026
This opening night dinner is loaded with symbolism. Château de la Tour is the largest single owner of vines within the Clos de Vougeot, the very vineyard where Vin et Hip Hop was born in Burgundy. The Labet family's estate sits at the literal epicenter of the event's origin story, and Edouard Labet brings four cuvées from this hallowed Grand Cru to Marea for the LA debut. Joining him is Diana Snowden-Seysses, the Napa Valley winemaker behind Snowden Vineyards and wife of Vin et Hip Hop co-creator Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac. Rounding out the trio are Brian Sieve and Ryan Hannaford of Racines, the acclaimed California project whose very name, meaning "roots" in French, encapsulates the Franco-American spirit of the entire event.
A Grand Cru Gateway
The wine lineup is a study in terroir expressed across two continents. The Château de la Tour flight alone justifies the evening: guests will taste three expressions of Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2020, from the Cuvée Classique to the Cuvée Vieilles Vignes (from vines averaging over 60 years old) to the top-tier Hommage à Jean Morin, the estate's single-plot micro-cuvée. A second bottle of the Hommage from 2017 allows for vintage comparison, showing how this wine evolves over just a few years. From Racines, expect a sparkling wine alongside two Chardonnays: the Wenzlau Vineyard 2021 and a Domaine de Montille Vineyard 2023 from Sta. Rita Hills. The Snowden side pivots to Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with three vineyard-designated bottlings stretching back to 2005, offering a two-decade lens on one of the valley's most respected family estates.
Marea, the celebrated Italian seafood restaurant, provides the backdrop. Expect refined coastal cuisine designed to complement both the mineral precision of Clos de Vougeot and the structure of aged Napa Cabernet. This is an ideal entry point to the series for anyone drawn to the transatlantic dialogue at the heart of Vin et Hip Hop.

Domaine des Comtes Lafon × Château Lafite Rothschild × Champagne Krug (SOLD OUT)
Tuesday, March 17, 2026
If there is a single dinner in this series that qualifies as once-in-a-lifetime, it may be this one. Three of the most illustrious names in French wine, representing the pinnacles of Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Champagne, share one table at Mélisse, Josiah Citrin's legendary Santa Monica fine dining destination. Pierre Lafon brings the wines of Domaine des Comtes Lafon, widely regarded as one of the greatest white Burgundy estates in existence. Saskia de Rothschild represents Château Lafite Rothschild, the First Growth Pauillac that needs no introduction. And Thibault Renard of Champagne Krug pours from the most revered house in all of Champagne. This dinner sold out almost immediately, and for good reason.
A $2,500 Masterclass in French Grandeur
The evening opens with four Krug Champagnes that alone could anchor an entire event. The Clos du Mesnil 2006, sourced from Krug's tiny walled Chardonnay vineyard in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, is among the most collectible Champagnes in the world. The Krug 2006 vintage bottling, the Grande Cuvée 162ème Édition, and a stunning Krug 2000 (a quarter-century-old prestige cuvée) round out a flight that spans the full range of the house's artistry.
The white Burgundy course features four Meursault Premier Crus from Comtes Lafon: Les Charmes in both 2013 and 2014, Genevières 2015, and the towering Perrières 2013. These are wines that routinely command four-figure prices at auction and represent the very apex of what Chardonnay can achieve on the Côte de Beaune.
The finale is a vertical of Château Lafite Rothschild that will make Bordeaux collectors weep: 2005, 1989, 1985, and a 1964 poured from magnum. The 1964, over six decades old, predates the modern era of Bordeaux winemaking entirely and offers a window into a Lafite from a different world.

Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux × Château Cheval Blanc (SOLD OUT)
Wednesday, March 18, 2026
No young winemaker in Burgundy generates more excitement right now than Charles Lachaux. Since taking over the family domaine in Vosne-Romanée (formerly known as Robert Arnoux), he has reimagined the estate with radical whole-cluster fermentation, exceptionally low yields, and a precision that has catapulted Arnoux-Lachaux into the uppermost tier of Burgundy producers. Allocations are nearly impossible to secure; bottles trade at prices that rival the most famous domaines on the Côte de Nuits.
He is joined by Mathieu Jullien, CEO of LVMH Vins d'Exception, representing Château Cheval Blanc, the legendary Premier Grand Cru Classé A estate in Saint-Émilion. The setting is Kato, Jon Yao's Michelin-starred tasting menu destination known for its meticulous, ingredient-driven approach. This dinner, unsurprisingly, sold out instantly.
Vosne-Romanée Meets Saint-Émilion
The Arnoux-Lachaux flight ascends from a Chambolle-Musigny 2021 through the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Corvées Pagets 2019 and up to the magnificent Échezeaux Grand Cru 2017. Adding a white dimension is a wine from Charles Lachaux's personal label: a Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru "Le Corton" 2022, a rarity that few outside his inner circle have tasted.
The Cheval Blanc side tells its own captivating story. Guests will taste Le Petit Cheval Blanc 2023 (the estate's white Bordeaux, an increasingly prized bottling), Cheval Blanc des Andes 2022 from the estate's Argentine sister project in Mendoza, and two vintages of the grand vin: Château Cheval Blanc 2015 and 2006. The pairing of Lachaux's ethereal Pinot Noir with Cheval Blanc's rich, Merlot-and-Cabernet-Franc-driven grandeur is a conversation between two entirely different expressions of terroir-driven greatness.

Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, Chambolle-Musigny 2021

Domaine Chavy-Chouet × Domaine Michel Lafarge, Co-Hosted by Rhuigi Villaseñor of RHUDE (LAST TICKETS)
Wednesday, March 18, 2026
This is the dinner that most fully embodies the Vin et Hip Hop ethos: Burgundy royalty meets LA fashion culture, with a live DJ set and every wine poured from jéroboam (three-liter bottles, the equivalent of four standard bottles). Romaric Chavy of Domaine Chavy-Chouet, a rising Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault producer with a growing cult following, joins Maxime-Henri Lafarge of the revered Domaine Michel Lafarge, one of Volnay's most celebrated estates and a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Burgundy. Co-hosting is Rhuigi Villaseñor, the Filipino-American fashion designer behind the luxury streetwear label RHUDE and Chief Brand Officer of Italian football club Como 1907. The venue is RVR, bringing the worlds of high fashion, Burgundy, and hip hop together in a single room.
Jéroboams, Monopoles, and a DJ
Large-format bottles are not merely theatrical. Wine ages more slowly and gracefully in jéroboam, developing greater complexity and a seamless texture that standard bottles cannot replicate. Every wine at this dinner benefits from that advantage. The Chavy-Chouet selection includes a Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes 2021, a Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières 2022, a Volnay 1er Cru Carelle Sous la Chapelle 2022 (a rare red from a domaine better known for whites), and the estate's prized Meursault Clos des Corvées de Citeau Monopole 2023, a walled vineyard exclusively owned by the Chavy family.
From Domaine Michel Lafarge come three reds that trace the soul of Volnay: a Beaune Grèves 2015, the Volnay Clos du Château des Ducs 2012 (another monopole, exclusively owned by the Lafarge family for generations), and a stunning Volnay Clos des Chênes 2005, now two decades old and likely drinking at a peak of secondary complexity.
Wines to Be Poured (all en jéroboam):
Domaine Chavy-Chouet, Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes 2021
Domaine Chavy-Chouet, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières 2022

Champagne Billecart-Salmon × Domaine Fourrier (SOLD OUT)
Wednesday, March 18, 2026
Two family-run estates, both synonymous with elegance and meticulous craft, converge at Verse, the acoustically engineered supper club created by 17-time Grammy-winning mixing engineer Manny Marroquin in Toluca Lake. Verse is no ordinary restaurant. Built adjacent to Marroquin's legendary Larrabee Studios (where records by Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and Alicia Keys have been mixed), the room features 52 hidden speakers and a Meyer Sound Constellation system that creates studio-quality acoustics for diners. It is the ideal setting for an event rooted in the intersection of wine and music.
Mathieu Roland-Billecart represents the seventh generation of family ownership at Champagne Billecart-Salmon, a house founded in 1818 and revered for the purity and finesse of its wines. Louis Fourrier carries forward the legacy of Domaine Fourrier in Gevrey-Chambertin, one of the Côte de Nuits' most prestigious communes.
Prestige Cuvées and Grand Cru Pinot
The Champagne flight features four prestige bottlings: the Blanc de Blancs NV, the Louis Salmon 2012, the Nicolas François 2008 (a Pinot Noir-dominant prestige cuvée that is one of Billecart's most age-worthy wines), and the Elisabeth Salmon Rosé 2009, widely considered one of the finest rosé Champagnes produced anywhere.
From Domaine Fourrier, the flight ascends through the peaks of Gevrey-Chambertin: a 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques 2017 (from the vineyard many believe deserves Grand Cru status), a 1er Cru Combe aux Moines 2018, the breathtaking Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru 2019 (one of Burgundy's smallest Grand Crus at just 2.7 hectares), and a Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers 2023, a glimpse of the newest vintage.
Wines to Be Poured:

Domaine Bernard Bonin × Château Lafleur (SOLD OUT)
Wednesday, March 18, 2026
This dinner pairs two producers that share a quality prized by serious collectors: scarcity. Domaine Bernard Bonin is among the most sought-after and least available estates in Meursault, producing tiny quantities of profoundly mineral, long-lived white Burgundy that rarely appear on the open market. Representing the domaine is Grégory Castells of Martine's Wines, their U.S. importer.
On the Bordeaux side, Château Lafleur in Pomerol is one of the Right Bank's most mythic properties, a minuscule 4.5-hectare estate that consistently produces wines rivaling its more famous neighbor, Pétrus. Omri Ram, representing Château Lafleur, will guide guests through a comprehensive tasting of the estate's wines at Dunsmoor, one of LA's most exciting newer restaurants.
Cult Meursault Meets Legendary Pomerol
The Bonin flight features three Meursaults that showcase the domaine's lieux-dits with crystalline clarity: the Clos du Cromin 2019, the Les Tilets 2014 (with over a decade of bottle age), and the celebrated Les Charmes-Dessus 2017, from one of Meursault's most prestigious parcels.
The Lafleur portion is remarkably comprehensive. It begins with the estate's satellite wines: Les Champs Libres 2023 (a white Bordeaux), Les Perrières 2022 (a Bordeaux Supérieur rouge), and Pensées de Lafleur 2022 (the estate's second wine). Then come three vintages of the grand vin itself: Château Lafleur 2006, 2016, and 2022. Tasting Lafleur across 16 years reveals the extraordinary consistency and evolution of this estate.

Emidio Pepe × Harlan Estate (SOLD OUT)
Wednesday, March 18, 2026
This may be the evening's most audacious pairing, and one of the most thrilling. Emidio Pepe, the legendary Abruzzo estate founded in 1964, has produced some of Italy's most hauntingly beautiful wines through methods that seem to belong to another century: biodynamic farming, hand destemming, foot-crushed white grapes, spontaneous fermentation, no filtration, and an extraordinary commitment to cellaring wines for decades before release. Representing the family is Chiara Pepe, the fifth generation. Across the table, Will Harlan brings the wines of Harlan Estate, arguably the most prestigious Cabernet Sauvignon producer in America.
Abruzzo's Pioneer Meets Napa's Icon
The Pepe selection opens with a Pecorino 2023 and a Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Vecchie Vigne 2021 before moving to three reds: the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Branella 2022, the Vecchie Vigne 2002 (over two decades old, likely hand-decanted and rebottled by the family), and a breathtaking Vecchie Vigne 1990, a 35-year-old wine from their oldest vines.
The Harlan flight is equally staggering: 2019, 2011, 2002, and 1997. The 1997 Harlan Estate, nearly three decades old, is one of the most legendary wines ever produced in Napa Valley. Tasting it alongside a 1990 Emidio Pepe Montepulciano creates a dialogue between two wines that could not be more different in origin yet share an almost spiritual commitment to expressing a place.
Felix, Evan Funke's celebrated Venice restaurant, provides the setting with its refined Italian-inflected cooking, making it a particularly fitting home for an evening that bridges Italy and California.
Wines to Be Poured:
Emidio Pepe, Pecorino 2023
Emidio Pepe, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Vecchie Vigne 2021
Emidio Pepe, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Branella 2022

Domaine Amiot-Servelle × Dalla Valle Vineyards (SOLD OUT)
Wednesday, March 18, 2026
Domaine Amiot-Servelle is one of Chambolle-Musigny's most respected estates, known for producing Pinot Noir of exceptional finesse and floral complexity from the village's greatest vineyards. Antoine and Prune Amiot-Servelle are in attendance, bringing an extraordinary all-2023 lineup that gives guests a first look at Burgundy's newest vintage across four ascending tiers. Alongside them, Maya Dalla Valle represents the Napa estate her mother Naoko established on the rocky hillsides above the Silverado Trail. The estate's flagship "Maya" bottling (a Cabernet Sauvignon blend named after Maya herself) has been a Napa Valley benchmark for decades.
2023 Chambolle-Musigny, From Village to Amoureuses
The Amiot-Servelle flight is structured as a pristine terroir ascent through Chambolle-Musigny, all from the 2023 vintage: village-level Chambolle, followed by 1er Cru Les Charmes, then 1er Cru Derrière la Grange, and culminating in 1er Cru Les Amoureuses. Les Amoureuses is widely regarded as one of Burgundy's greatest Premier Cru vineyards, rivaling many Grand Crus in quality and price.
The Dalla Valle selection features two vintages each of the estate's Cabernet Sauvignon (2015 and 2020) and the iconic Maya (2015 and 2021).
République, Walter and Margarita Manzke's grand brasserie on La Brea, provides a fittingly elegant yet relaxed setting for this Franco-American encounter.

Lawrence Wine Estates × Domaine Dujac × Champagne Pierre Péters (SOLD OUT)
Wednesday, March 18, 2026
The final dinner of the series brings together the event's co-creator with two of the wine world's most compelling figures. Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac, one of Burgundy's most illustrious estates in Morey-Saint-Denis, has been instrumental in building Vin et Hip Hop from its inception. Carlton McCoy, a Master Sommelier and CEO of Lawrence Wine Estates (the Napa portfolio that includes storied names like Heitz Cellar, Stony Hill, and Haynes Vineyard), brings both deep wine knowledge and a vision for connecting wine with broader culture. Rodolphe Péters of Champagne Pierre Péters, one of the most celebrated grower-producers in Champagne and a specialist in Blanc de Blancs from the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, rounds out the trio. This dinner was acquired as a complete sponsor buyout and is not available to the public.
Dujac Grand Crus Back to 1978
The Dujac flight includes five wines spanning 45 years: a Clos de la Roche Grand Cru 1996, a Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes 2007, a Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2002, a Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru 1995 (the estate's home Grand Cru), and a Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes 1978, a wine from nearly half a century ago.
The Lawrence Wine Estates selection showcases the breadth of McCoy's portfolio with a Trailside Estate Rutherford 2022, a Haynes Estates Corazon Chardonnay 2022 from Coombsville, and a Stony Hill L'Escalier 2023 from Spring Mountain. The Pierre Péters lineup is equally rare: Les Montjolys Réserve Familiale 2013, Les Chétillons Réserve Familiale 2012 (from arguably Le Mesnil's greatest vineyard), L'Étonnant Monsieur Victor TB15 2015, and the house's prestige cuvée HÉRITAGE.
