Lanson has made Champagne in Reims since 1760. Its home at 66 rue de Courlancy is open for visits that move through the house’s garden, production spaces and cellars before a tasting. The house draws grapes from about 400 hectares of vineyard supply, including 60 hectares of its own vines, and works with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier.
Le Black Création and the house range
Le Black Création is the clearest starting point for Lanson’s blended style. Le Rosé Création gives visitors a second expression of the house approach; Clos Lanson narrows the focus to a named parcel. Le Green Bio-Organic comes from the Malmaison Estate. Those bottles offer distinct ways to consider the relationship between a large Champagne house, its sourcing and its own vineyard sites.
