Built in an ancient olive grove, it has none of the uniformity of a typical hotel. There are just three suites in the main house (two named for the geranium and tangerine wallpaper), one in the former kitchen, with its own pool, and six “eco-glamping” bungalows that look like summer camp throwbacks but are furnished with Vispring mattresses and Rivolta Carmignani linens. The city of Noto, a triumph of Baroque architecture, is close, as are charming villages, Mount Etna, and the sea.
