Where the family vegetable garden once stood, this brand-new, timber-clad building now looks out onto northern Alsace's magnificent landscape of hills and meadows, with the blue line of the Vosges in the distance. Served in a sleek, contemporary dining room with an open kitchen, the chef's dishes are characterised by aesthetic and technical precision. Hints of Japanese or Scandinavian influences shine through, and the flavours are also perfectly balanced, thanks in particular to the judicious use of punchy condiments that always add a welcome twist to the dishes.
