Nile Canopus

Relais Chateaux

Designed in the style of a dahabiya–traditional boats built between the 18th and 19th centuries–Nile Canopus offers cruises along the Nile. Thanks to its two large triangular sails and shallow draft, it glides silently through the water and can more easily approach riverbanks than larger vessels. Journeys of three to four nights, between Luxor and Aswan–or seven nights for a round trip–allow you to discover the temples of Philae, Abu Simbel, Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor, all witnesses to three millennia of history. The 10 cabins and suites aboard Nile Canopus feature refined comforts, with decor evoking the elegance of the 1920s. From your windows or on deck, you can admire the desert beyond the rows of palms and papyrus that line the shore. An all-inclusive formula lets you savor chef Hussein Gaber’s heartfelt, aromatic cuisine, from sunrise to starry nights.

The ambiance evokes Egypt’s late‑19th‑century golden era of travel with 1920s‑style elegance: refined cabins, rich period details, and safari‑style tented deck spaces that feel serene, timeless, and romantic as the Nile landscape drifts past.[11][1][2]
