Château d'Agel puts Minervois wine in its proper setting: limestone, heat, old stone and a working estate rather than a polished tasting-room script. The draw is the combination of a 12th-century fortified château, terraced gardens and a medium-sized vineyard focused on Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Maccabeu and Roussanne.
