The World Alba White Truffle Auction is an exclusive annual charity auction held at the historic Castello di Grinzane Cavour in Alba, Italy. It auctioneers off the season’s most prized Alba white truffles – the “diamonds of the kitchen” – to global bidders for record-breaking prices, with proceeds donated to charitable causes.

Each November, Piedmont’s famed white truffle takes center stage at this prestigious auction. In a live broadcast event linking Alba with cities like Hong Kong and New York, a select number of enormous and ultra-rare Tuber magnatum Pico truffles are sold to the highest bidders in dramatic fashion. Winning bids often reach tens or even hundreds of thousands of euros for a single truffle, and the final “Pièce de Charité” garners special attention as its hammer price is pledged entirely to charity.
