Grosso restaurant in Asunción

Asunción, Paraguay

Grosso

We are in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, the important city in the country, for this restaurant that has two locations. The simple and well-kept environments make the guest feel at ease. The proposal is based on Italy and Neapolitan-style pizza. The dough is generous, as tradition dictates, soft, melt-in-your-mouth, fully embodying the characteristics that this style of pizza should have. The sandwich options are good, but the desserts are even better, especially the focaccia with the world's most famous spreadable cream. The service is informal and fast, with prices in line with the city average. The take-out service is nice and useful, with instructions on the box for enjoying it at home as well.

This is followed by a wide variety of pizzas, from margherita to stuffed ones divided into red, white, and sweet. It ends with the inevitable tiramisu. The service is well-suited, with Italian wines and good beers.

Tierra Colorada Gastro restaurant in Asunción

Asunción, Paraguay

Tierra Colorada Gastro

Tierra Colorada Gastro on Avenida Santísima Trinidad brings a considered approach to Paraguayan cooking in a city where the dining scene is quietly but steadily deepening. The restaurant draws on the country's indigenous and colonial culinary traditions, positioning itself within Asunción's small but growing cohort of kitchens treating local ingredients with serious intent. Calle 75 'Food & Drink' restaurant in Lambare

Lambare, Paraguay

Calle 75 'Food & Drink'

Calle 75 'Food & Drink' sits on Avenida Hernan Cortes in Lambaré, a city that runs directly into greater Asunción's southern edge and carries its own distinct neighbourhood rhythm. The venue's name signals a dual commitment to food and drink in a market where that pairing remains less common than elsewhere in the region. For visitors working through Paraguay's emerging dining scene, Lambaré provides a grounded counterpoint to the capital's more visible restaurant corridor.
