Eugène Eugène is a botanical-inspired sanctuary that transports diners into a lush French greenhouse oasis. The verdant setting creates an escape so rooted in nature that you half expect Sir David Attenborough to emerge from behind a fern and narrate the amuse-bouche. Part of RIKAS Group, Eugène Eugène is set among palm, olive, laurel and sage, a dining room that exudes comfort with woven cushions and plush armchairs. Having experienced a kitchen merry-go-round in recent years, Giacomo Boggio Casero currently holds the reins (formerly of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Dubai and Ristorante Loren), presenting farm-to-table dishes inspired by French market halls, and featuring brasserie favourites: foie gras for a rich start, or escargot de Bourgogne and onion soup for classic French comfort. The Cordon Bleu deluxe is distinctive, while bluefin tuna tartare and watermelon gazpacho offer a refreshing pescatarian choice. The steaks, especially the bavette, served with shallot sauce, showcase the kitchen’s skill. For a pricier but rewarding cut, the tenderloin remains beautifully tender and is served with entrecôte sauce. Cheese connoisseurs will find much to choose, including the creamy richness of Swiss fondue and regional cheese platters. For dessert, the apple tarte tatin provides a balanced tart-sweet finish, while the molten chocolate fondant offers a decadently rich finale. At the time of publication, the restaurant has partnered with Mont Blanc on a cosy mountain-inspired cabin, proving immensely popular. With its lively centrepiece bar and inviting ambience, Eugène Eugène is distinctive as a naturalistic dining escape, offering guests an oasis just steps away from the city’s bustle.
