The first thing that will catch you eye when entering Ribe is the wine rack that runs the length of a wall and reaches all the way to the ceiling. Yes, the wine selection here is certainly one of Tallinn’s best. The front room, designed as a bar with a few taller bar tables, is where you’ll want to go when you’re looking for a glass of rare and intriguing adult grape juice. The kitchen, located downstairs and in the back, has been sending remarkably good food upstairs for the past 13 years.

About

The first thing that will catch you eye when entering Ribe is the wine rack that runs the length of a wall and reaches all the way to the ceiling. Yes, the wine selection here is certainly one of Tallinn’s best. The front room, designed as a bar with a few taller bar tables, is where you’ll want to go when you’re looking for a glass of rare and intriguing adult grape juice.

The kitchen, located downstairs and in the back, has been sending remarkably good food upstairs for the past 13 years. Helmed by a string of chefs, the gastronomy has evolved over time, yet it’s always been an excellent partner for the wines. There’s a short à la carte menu and two chef’s menus, one of which is vegetarian.

Naturally, each menu option comes with multiple pairing recommendations. You’ll recognize the regulars here as they’re usually the ones sipping two different wines with each dish. At Ribe, the food complements the wine, not vice versa.
