Dining here will require that you make multiple decisions. Meat Market is located on a street corner and has two entrances, one on either side. It has two dining rooms with two different atmospheres, one resembles a traditional restaurant and the other is closer to a lounge.

Tasting menu. Choose-your-own menu... Seven years ago, when Meat Market opened, it was a steakhouse and fancy cocktail bar, and the kitchen had the crazy idea of serving a tasting menu.

All of that was way too far ahead of its time for Tartu. So the management spent years testing various concepts, until they came full circle and ended where things started, having carved out a nice little niche for themselves. Meanwhile, Tartu evolved too, the locals got curious about mixology and embraced the wealth of choices on offer.

It’ll take you multiple visits to try every cocktail. Just like you’d have to return again and again to chew your way through the extensive butcher’s menu. You might drop by several times, and you’ll always leave with a new impression.
