Champagne Marie-Courtin

Dominique Moreau founded Champagne Marie-Courtin in Polisot in 2005, naming the estate for her grandmother. The roughly 2.5-hectare holding lies in the Côte des Bar, where Pinot Noir from an east-facing hillside is central to her work.

Parcel and cellar

The hillside’s clay-limestone soils include Kimmeridgian bands. Moreau works with biodynamically grown grapes and uses different cellar approaches across the range. Her importer describes Résonance as stainless-steel fermented and Efflorescence as fermented and aged in used barrels, a distinction that lets the wines develop differently from the same small-estate frame.
