Andre's Bistro & Bar

André Rochat spent more than three decades building a reputation as one of Las Vegas's most serious French chefs, with restaurants including the Michelin-recognised André's downtown and Alizé at the Palms. Andre's Bistro & Bar, which operated from 2016 to 2018 at a Southwest Las Vegas address that previously housed DW Bistro, was conceived as a deliberately accessible extension of that legacy: French bistro cooking priced and paced for a neighbourhood crowd rather than a special-occasion room.

The menu positioned classic French technique alongside American tavern sensibilities. Lamb burgers with tzatziki, feta, and frites sat alongside Golden Trout Almandine finished with beurre noisette, Moules Frites with tomato concassé and garlic, and Seared Foie Gras with apple and almond crumble. A Grand Marnier Soufflé and Apple Tarte rounded out the dessert list. Brunch drew a following of its own, and a Happy Hour menu made the room a practical option for the surrounding Summerlin-adjacent residential corridor.

The bistro closed permanently in December 2018. Rochat subsequently requested his name be disassociated from the project, a detail that colours how the restaurant fits into his broader story: it was an experiment in democratising a fine-dining pedigree, and one he ultimately chose not to claim.
