When was the last time you enjoyed a glass of good wine and a nice hearty meal in a theatre restaurant? KOM-theatre is one of the oldest Finnish theatre companies. The restaurant beside it, Pontus, is run by a man who’s fingerprints can be seen in many tasty joints in Helsinki.
Antto Melasniemi is especially known for his pizzas, which can be enjoyed at Putte’s. It was an obvious choice to bring the celebrated pizzas also to his new place. Pontus is a lively restaurant, where you can get classical dishes like mussels under a dome of soft dough, or lasagna – both meaty or vegan-friendly options are available.
Their only dessert is as fun as their beer glasses with yellow smiley face on them: soft serve ice cream straight from the machine. Nothing fancy, nothing too complicated. Just a simple and fun meal after a play at KOM that made you ponder over the meaning of life.
