Napoli Contemporanea restaurant in Auckland

Auckland, New Zealand

Napoli Contemporanea

We are in Parnell, just outside the city center, in among the more charming areas of the city, among the old England style residential villas. The restaurant overlooks the main street, small, well-kept, with the bar in front of the entrance and the electric pizza oven in front of the small kitchen. Here, Italian is spoken, or rather Neapolitan, with many iconographic references present, not only in the language, but also and above all in the products. The dough is contemporary, as the name of the pizzeria suggests, with a pronounced crust. The pizza maker and owner Recco Pozzulo, originally from the province of Naples, has managed to bring a piece of the Neapolitan city to Auckland. In the menu, in addition to pizzas, you will find appetizers, pasta, and main courses, the Genovese is a priority-try, it's not trivial to try it eighteen thousand kilometers from Naples especially because it is well made, and among the pizzas, the Margherita queen, with excellent tomato. Friendly service, prices in line with the city average, although here the quality is significantly higher.
