Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin
2 Michelin Keys
It might seem that Courchevel is already at maximum capacity of palace hotels and five-star abodes, but the opening of Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin shows there is always room for a little more luxury. The hotel marks Rosewood’s second French address after Paris’s dramatic Hôtel de Crillon, and its first winter resort, so of course the brand decided to go big by opening the 51-key hotel in one of the world’s most well-known ski destinations. The designer behind the property is equally renowned, Tristan Auer, who in addition to working on Rosewood’s Parisian property has also overseen the interiors of addresses such as The Carlton Cannes, the Four Seasons Hotel George V, and the Mandarin Oriental Savoy in Zurich. For Rosewood Courchevel, Auer has drawn inspiration from the resort’s 1960s golden age to marry his signature use of tactile materials such as timber, wool and stone with high shine copper highlights and mirrored surfaces, adding a touch of glamour to the warm, apartment-style rooms and suites. Auer’s cosy chic style continues in the public spaces; après-ski drinks can be taken in Salto Lounge, and Salta restaurant serves a comforting combination of Northern Italian dishes and French desserts. Rosewood’s signature Asaya® Spa offers ski-focused treatments which are just the tonic after hitting the slopes, as well as saunas, steam rooms, a hot tub and cold plunge, an indoor pool, and a children’s cavern for sharing relaxation time together. And to add a final luxurious flourish to any stay, guests have access to a Ski Concierge team who can plan a number of bespoke and exclusive slopeside experiences.
