Accolades in Uganda
Kampala’s restaurants serve North Indian and Ugandan cooking alongside international hotel dining, with à la carte and buffet formats.
Khana Khazana has served North Indian cooking in Kololo since 1997. Run by a family, it occupies a colonial mansion that has been restored and includes a courtyard garden. The restaurant offers à la carte dining and authentic tandoori dishes.
An all-day hotel restaurant in Nsambya with buffet and à la carte formats. Its menu includes international buffets, continental grills, Far East cuisine and desserts. The restaurant has a standard wine programme.
Ambrosia Restaurant in Nakawa serves Ugandan cooking throughout the day, with an à la carte menu featuring local flavours. Its signature dish is Luwombo, and the restaurant also serves fresh fruit juices.
