Whitman Hill Winery brings its Zillah estate story to Artisan Hill with curated flights, limited-production wines, and weekend hours.

Whitman Hill Winery Opens Woodinville Tasting Room in Artisan Hill

A Zillah estate has crossed the Cascades. On June 24, 2026, Whitman Hill Winery introduced a Woodinville tasting room for west-side guests, bringing the family-owned Yakima Valley producer founded by Scott and Denise Whitman into closer reach without loosening the thread back to its vineyard.

The draw is focused: small-production wines shaped by intentional farming, varietal integrity, and a vineyard-to-glass approach, poured in one of Washington’s most established wine tasting neighborhoods.

Whitman Hill Winery Opens in Artisan Hill

Whitman Hill Winery’s new room sits in Artisan Hill, part of Woodinville’s Warehouse District, with a program built around current-release pours and guided tasting rather than spectacle.

The winery’s identity begins east of the Cascades. Its estate vineyard in Zillah lies among rolling hills, where elevation, aspect, and site-specific farming shape wines built for balance, structure, and character.

Scott Whitman framed the expansion through that vineyard-first lens. “Every wine starts with the site in Zillah, and opening in Woodinville gives us another way to share that work.,” he said.

The Woodinville opening arrives alongside a refreshed winery website and an updated Wine Collective membership, extending Whitman Hill’s hospitality program beyond the Yakima Valley.

Why the Zillah Estate Matters in Woodinville

A strong Woodinville tasting room needs a clear point of origin in the glass. Here, that origin is Whitman Hill’s Yakima Valley estate, farmed to reveal the nuance of its land and winegrowing region.

Denise Whitman called Woodinville a way to create “a meaningful connection to our estate vineyard” for guests tasting on the west side of Washington. She also emphasized a room that feels “warm, personal, and inviting,” a place to slow down with the wines in an artisan-focused neighborhood.

For committed Washington wine drinkers, that connection is the point: the tasting experience is anchored in how the producer thinks about site, season, and style.

What to Expect from the Woodinville Tasting Room

Curated tasting flights of current-release, limited-production wines sit at the center of the Woodinville experience, with opportunities to learn about Whitman Hill’s estate vineyard, winemaking philosophy, and the people behind the wines.

The format rewards attention to place. Particularly useful questions are the ones that lead back to farming: how the Zillah site shapes structure, where varietal character shows most clearly, and how the estate’s work in the vineyard carries through to the glass.

Wine Collective members also gain another place to use their benefits, pick up releases, and participate in special events and experiences throughout the year.

The Wine Collective Adds a Second Layer

The updated Wine Collective gives members access to limited-production wines, seasonal releases, exclusive events, and year-round benefits. For an estate winery working at small scale, that structure turns a tasting-room visit into an ongoing relationship with future bottlings.

It also makes the Woodinville room more than a satellite. Guests can taste the wines, understand the vineyard, and remain close to the releases and events that follow.
