Marcay, France
Chateau de Marcay
A twelfth-century château in the Chinon wine country of the Loire Valley, Chateau de Marcay positions itself within France's tradition of château-hotel dining, where the provenance of ingredients and the agricultural character of the surrounding land shape the table as much as any chef's technique. The setting places guests inside a working region, not a theatrical reconstruction of one.
