Cail Bruich
1 Michelin star
Cail Bruich holds a Michelin star and a La Liste ranking at 725 Great Western Road in Glasgow's West End, where chef Lorna McNee applies classical technique to Scottish produce without overcomplicating either. Open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner, with lunch service Friday and Saturday, the restaurant operates two set menus and a kitchen table for those who want proximity to the brigade. Price range is ££££.
Elements
In the affluent suburb of Bearsden, Elements sits at the serious end of Glasgow's neighbourhood dining scene, earning a Michelin Plate in 2025 for cooking that applies classical technique to Scottish produce with quiet confidence. West Coast langoustines, a considered wine list, and a plant-based tasting menu that draws green-guide recognition make it a destination worth crossing the city for. Rated 4.9 on Google across early reviews.
Fallachan Kitchen
Fallachan Kitchen occupies a single railway arch near Kelvingrove, where a communal table seats a small group around an open kitchen. Chef Craig Grozier holds a Michelin Plate (2024 and 2025) and rotates the menu around Scottish seasonal produce, Barra scallop, Borders partridge, matched with a wine flight. The format is intimate and deliberate, and the price is set accordingly.
The Gannet
A Michelin Plate-recognised stalwart of Finnieston's dining scene, The Gannet has built its reputation on seasonally driven Modern British cooking, Scottish regional sourcing, and a commitment to zero waste. The à la carte and fixed-price lunch formats sit inside a modish, informal room on Argyle Street. Note that the restaurant is closing permanently at the end of service on 31 December 2025.
Ubiquitous Chip
On Ashton Lane, one of Glasgow's most recognisable side streets, Ubiquitous Chip has held its place in the city's dining culture for decades. Recognised by Star Wine List with a White Star for its wine programme, it draws a loyal clientele that returns not for novelty but for continuity, a rarity in a dining scene that has grown considerably around it.
Unalome by Graeme Cheevers
1 Michelin star
Unalome by Graeme Cheevers holds a Michelin star on Kelvingrove Street in Finnieston, Glasgow's most food-forward neighbourhood. The seven-course tasting menu runs £135 per person, with an à la carte at £100 and a set lunch at £55, the latter widely cited as among the more competitive value in the city's fine dining tier. Scottish produce, from Orkney scallops to North Sea cod, anchors the kitchen's approach.
