Malans, Switzerland
Weiss Kreuz occupies Dorfplatz 1 in Malans, a wine-producing village in Graubünden where the Herrschaft vineyards begin just outside the door. The setting places it within reach of some of eastern Switzerland's most serious regional produce, and the address alone signals something worth the detour from Chur or Bad Ragaz. For travellers moving between the Alpine fine-dining corridor and the Bündner wine country, it functions as a grounding point.

Malans, Switzerland
Clavadetscher Bio Weine is a small family-run organic estate in Malans, working within the Alpine-influenced Bündner Herrschaft rather than a polished luxury-winery model. The appeal is terroir-led: estate wines, organic farming, vineyard and mountain views, and a quiet appointment-only format shaped around Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling-Sylvaner and Chardonnay.
Malans, Switzerland
Cottinelli Weinbau gives Malans a broad, alpine reading of Graubünden wine: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Completer drawn from vineyards between Maienfeld and Chur. Founded in 1876 and now part of the Plozza Wine Group, it is a regional producer with scale, history and a clear focus on cool-climate structure rather than cellar-door theatrics.
Malans, Switzerland
Domaine Donatsch gives Malans a serious, cellar-level reading of Bündner Herrschaft Pinot Noir: small family estate, five generations, Burgundy-influenced technique, and tastings anchored in a traditional wine tavern. The interest here is not spectacle but terroir, with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Completer, and Pinot Gris framed by old village cellars and vineyard land around Malans.
Malans, Switzerland
Giani Boner belongs to the quieter, Pinot-led side of Swiss wine culture: a family-run Malans producer in the Bündner Herrschaft, with a focus on traditional, barrel-aged reds rather than hospitality spectacle. Its clearest calling card is Malanser Pinot Noir Grand Cru, a 95% Pinot Noir and 5% Syrah bottling aged 18 months in barrique and scored 18.5/20 by Mövenpick.
Malans, Switzerland
Hof Wynegg is a small organic winery in Malans GR, working within Graubünden’s alpine-influenced wine culture rather than a large cellar-door tourism model. Its draw is the mix of Riesling x Sylvaner, Seyval Blanc, Blauburgunder and Léon Millot, a portfolio that points to cool-climate Swiss viticulture with a quiet, rustic character.
Malans, Switzerland
A small family-run winery in Malans GR, Jürg Hartmann Weinbau sits in the quieter, agricultural side of Graubünden wine culture: five hectares, a traditional torkel, and a portfolio that moves from Riesling x Sylvaner and Weissburgunder to Pinot Noir, Malbec, Zweigelt, rosé, and sparkling Chardonnay. The draw is not spectacle; it is a compact estate model where vineyard work, cellar craft, and direct sales remain close together.
Malans, Switzerland
A small Graubünden estate in Malans where wine and fruit farming remain closely linked. Lauber Weinbau works about 4 hectares of vines alongside apple orchards, with Completer, Freisamer, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon anchoring a portfolio that reads as local, practical and shaped by family continuity since 1928.
Malans, Switzerland
Liesch Weine AG, Ueli & Jürg Liesch reads as a working Malans wine estate rather than a showroom: vineyards, cellar and sales rooms sit together in a quiet rural setting. The emphasis is Graubünden AOC wine, organic production, Pinot Noir and appointment-led hospitality, with private tastings, cellar visits and event use built into the estate format.
Malans, Switzerland
Louis Liesch Bioweinbau is a small biodynamic winery in Malans, shaped by Graubünden’s alpine vineyard culture rather than polished wine-tourism theatre. Its defining signals are Demeter-certified biodynamic farming, a compact 2–3 hectares under vine, and a focused AOC Graubünden portfolio led by Pinot Noir alongside local white varieties.
Malans, Switzerland
Schifferli Wein is a small Malans estate shaped by Graubünden’s alpine viticulture: warm Föhn air, clay-limestone soils, and steep hand-worked slopes. Its 1.5 hectares focus on Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling-Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Merlot, and Completer, with the Completerhalde’s 75 percent gradients giving the estate its clearest identity.
Malans, Switzerland
Thomas Studach is a small Malans winery shaped by restraint: three hectares, quiet cellar work, and a reputation built around Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Completer rather than visitor spectacle. In a Swiss wine region where scale often stays deliberately compact, its appeal lies in terroir focus, scarcity, and critical recognition including Wine Advocate attention and Gault-Millau Swiss Top 100 status.
Malans, Switzerland
Thürer Weine gives Malans a compact, Sauvignon-led reading of Graubünden wine culture, with Fumé Blanc scoring 90 points and Sauvignon Blanc 2025 scoring 89 at the Falstaff Sauvignon Blanc Trophy 2026. The draw is not scale or spectacle, but a tight portfolio shaped around regional identity, still whites, limited releases, and wines positioned for private cellars and personal occasions.
Malans, Switzerland
Weinbau und Brennerei zur Krone Boner & Rasi belongs to Malans’ small-producer culture: organic winegrowing, distilling, and a family-run scale rather than cellar-door theatre. Its appeal is the combined wine-and-spirits format in the Bündner Herrschaft, with Pinot Noir anchoring the wine identity and fine spirits extending the agricultural logic beyond the bottle of wine.
Malans, Switzerland
Weingut Anjan Boner is a small Malans winery in the Bündner Herrschaft, shaped by a compact 3 to 3.5 hectare footprint and family vines that include parcels over 65 years old. The range is tightly focused on Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Freisamer, Riesling-Sylvaner, Chardonnay, and sparkling formats, with Anjan Boner’s name attached directly to the winemaking identity.
Malans, Switzerland
Weingut Fromm gives Malans a precise, alpine reading of Pinot Noir: organic farming, historic crus and a family line reaching back to 1866 shape the estate’s identity. The new 2025 vineyard-edge winery and wine bar add a contemporary tasting setting without turning the experience into a high-gloss salon.
Malans, Switzerland
Weingut Wegelin frames Malans wine through altitude, wind and site rather than cellar spectacle. The glass-fronted winery and terrace setting give the estate a contemporary edge, but the substance is in its Pinot Noir-led portfolio, organic and biodynamic farming direction, and single-vineyard work across Weisstorkel, Bothmarhalde and Scadena.
