La Place belongs to the small-cellar side of Valais wine culture: quiet, traditional and closely tied to Chippis and nearby Sierre. Its strongest signal is Fendant, the Chasselas-based white that defines much of the canton’s drinking identity, backed by an Étoile du Valais awarded in 2018 for the 2017 Fendant de Sierre.
