Domaine de l’Hortus is a Pic Saint-Loup estate where limestone cliffs, garrigue scrub and slope exposure explain the wines as much as cellar technique. The estate’s modern life began with Jean and Marie-Thérèse Orliac’s restoration of abandoned hillside vineyards, with a first vintage in 1990 and a portfolio built around Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier.
