Sariswil, Switzerland
Restaurant Rössli Säriswil "Werkstatt der Sinne"
In the quiet canton of Bern village of Säriswil, Restaurant Rössli carries the subtitle 'Werkstatt der Sinne', workshop of the senses, a name that signals intent rather than spectacle. The address, a roadside inn on Staatsstrasse 125, sits in the tradition of the Swiss Landgasthof: a format where the kitchen, not the setting, does the talking. For visitors to the Bern region seeking cooking grounded in local produce and rural craft, it warrants a considered detour.
