On Crescent Avenue, Avalon's main drag on Catalina Island, Avalon Grille occupies a position that puts it squarely in the island's restaurant conversation. The setting, the sourcing story, and the proximity to the water all matter here in ways that shape what ends up on the plate. A useful starting point for anyone building a Catalina dining itinerary.

Avalon, United States
Perched at Catalina Island's Airport in the Sky, DC3 Gifts & Grill occupies one of Southern California's more unusual dining addresses, a working airstrip at 1,602 feet above sea level. The setting shapes everything: the pace is unhurried, the crowd a mix of island day-trippers and small-aircraft arrivals, and the experience functions more as a pause in a larger adventure than a destination meal in its own right.
Avalon, United States
Perched at the end of Green Pleasure Pier, Eric's On The Pier occupies one of the more distinctive dining positions in Southern California, with the Pacific on all sides and Avalon's hillside casino backdrop framing every table. Among Catalina Island's waterfront options, it sits closer to a casual pier institution than a formal dining room, making it a reference point for anyone building an Avalon itinerary around the water.
Avalon, United States
Steve's Steakhouse occupies a direct address on Crescent Avenue in Avalon, the main commercial strip of Catalina Island's only incorporated town. In a dining scene shaped almost entirely by the island's geographic isolation, the steakhouse format carries particular weight: every cut served here arrives by boat or ferry from the mainland, making sourcing decisions more deliberate than at any comparable land-based operation.
