Almázcara Majara
Almázcara Majara belongs to Bierzo’s small-producer current: old Mencía and Godello vines, altitude, and a rural village setting rather than polished cellar-door theatre. Founded in 2002, the estate works 11 hectares of 80–120-year-old vineyards and makes around 30,000 bottles a year, with an appointment-only format that suits drinkers interested in terroir before spectacle.
