Château Carmenère
Château Carmenère gives the Médoc a different accent: a family-run Queyrac estate centered on Carmenère rather than the region’s more familiar Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominance. The draw is terroir in a literal sense, with sandy-gravel soils, clay-limestone subsoil and an ocean-influenced climate shaping a small-production portfolio of red, white and rosé wines.
